Marjorie K. Nichols, 71, of Elmwood, died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday October 4, 2009 at her residence.
Born September 19, 1938 in Canton, to Harold and Irene (Leonard) McAlister. She married Douglas Nichols June 18, 1957 in Burlington, IA. He died July 7, 2004.
Surviving are five children, Randy Nichols of Elmwood, Teresa Wheeler of Corinth, TX, Sue Simpson of Dyersburg, TN, Colleen Dalrymple of WI, Sharon (Randy) German of Abingdon, MD; one brother, Jerry (Pat) McAlister of TX, one sister, Joann (Dean) Harper of CT. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Marjorie retired from Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria where she was an nurses aid. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Bethel Bible Church in Edwards. Hampton Smith will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m Thursday at Bethel Bible Church. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Hanna City..
Memorials may be made to the Elmwood Fire Department, BYE Ambulance or Bethel Bible Church.
