Santaquin - Herman Gilbert Zufelt, 66, 313 E. 100 North, Santaquin died Friday, June 10, 1977 at an Orem nursing home.

Born August 31, 1910 in Redmesa, Colorado to Franklin Samuel and Daphine C. Bell Zufelt, he married Elsie Potter on September 1, 1933 in Duchesne County. They were later divorced.

He was a sheepherder and member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include five sons and seven daughters, Sidney K. Zufelt, Dennis Paul Zufelt, and Mrs. Jack (Reva) Mezenen, all of Orem; Billy Gilbert Zufelt, Santaquin; Ronald Zufelt, serving in the U.S. Army in Arizona; Steven Bradley Zufelt, New Mexico; Mre. Moses (Rayda) Shepherd, Springville; Mrs. DeVerl (Marva) Simmons, Chester, Sanpete County; Mrs. Daphne Waite, Washington State; Ila May Zufelt, California; Mrs. Bert (Elva) Porter, Mount Pleasant; Mrs. Phillip (Delores) McGee, American Fork; 34 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Daphne) Van Tassel, Neola, and Mrs. Hazel Berry, Rexburg, Idaho.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 4:00 pm in the Santaquin City Cemetery. Friends may call tonight from 7 to 8 O'clock at Holladay Hills Funeral Home in Santaquin and at the cemetery Monday prior to services.
