G. N. Conductor, William Allard, Dies in City

William Edward Allard, 62, 318 Central Avenue North, a conductor on the Great Northern railroad, died this morning at a local hospital after a ten day illness.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Robert of Seattle Washington, and Kenneth, New York City, New York, his father H. F. Allard, Crookston and three sister, Mrs. C. J. Wanger, Little Fork, Minnesota; Mrs. Thomas, Nichols, Highland, Indiana; and Mrs. William Manley, Los Angeles, California.

Mr. Allard was born August 1, 1884 in Gull River, Minnesota, April 14, 1915 he married Ellen Balfour. he was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Conductors Local 510 and had worked on the railroad 36 years.

He was affiliated with the Presbyterian church and the Rev John Lewis will officiate at the funeral servies which will be held Monday at the Houske funeral chapel at 2:30. The body will lie in state at the Houske Funeral home Sunday evening. Burial will be in the Oakdale cemetery.
