Earlsboro resident Robert James Adam, 67, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 at his residence.
He was born May 21, 1933 in Rolla, Mo. to Frank Adam and Henrietta Marie (Horn) Adam. He married Janice Dawn Hill on May 28, 1971 in Garden Grove, Calif. He served in the U. S. Army from 1953 to 1956. Robert retired from law enforcement in California after working as a detective, later a motor officer and then as a C.S.I. officer. After retirement he worked at Oklahoma Baptist University as a security guard. He had been a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was most recently a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold E. Adam; and one sister, Selma M. Thurm.
Survivors include wife, Janice Dawn Adam of the home; daughter, Deborah Lynn Carlson of Garden Grove, Calif.; brother, Frank Arthur Adam of Rolla, Calif.; grandson, Brandon Carlson and wife Michelle of Garden Grove, Calif.; great-granddaughter, Kadie Lea Carlson of Garden Grove, Calif.; step-children, Jacquelyne Cuzzins of Tucson, Ariz., Debi K. Christian of Brighton, Colo., Sandi M. Taylor of Shawnee, Tommy L. Nickols of LaRussel, Mo., Jerry L. McCaul and wife Stephanie of Shawnee; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Spillman of Thornton, Colo., Summer Dawn McCaul of Shattuck, Okla., Kevin Kennedy of Thornton, Colo., Daryle Burque of Tucson, Ariz., Jamie Burque of Tucson, Ariz., Aiden Spillman of Thornton, Colo., Ezekiel McCaul, Angel McCaul, and Eli McCaul.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. Clint Dawkins, the Rev. Bill Matthews, and the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Parkunder the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
