Information from obituary: Mrs. A.W.Grant, nee Ann Wickware, was born near Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Oct. 12, 1825 and came to Wisconsin at age 20 years. She married in Milwaukee on New Years Day in 1845, to Avery C. Grant. They settled in Greenville for 2 years, later in Ellington on a farm. They purchased a farm in Kaukauna 32 years ago. She was the mother of 13 children, 9 of whom were living at the time of her death. Her husband was incapacitated for many years by his military experience.
