Born April 7, 1904 at Seward where he graduated from High School, he moved with his family to Wahoo about five years ago when Platte Valley Foods came to Wahoo from Fremont. Prior to that he was employed by Campbell's Soup Company of Fremont.
Survivors include his widow, Zona; daughters Wanda at home, Mrs. Ray Corn, Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Harry (Peg) Dooley, Corvallis, Oregon; a son, Chris Pickrel, Ponca City, Oklahoma; step-daughter, Mrs. Richard (Velma) Nichols, Omaha; and a step-son Jim Mikes, San Jose, California; one brother, Sherman, Denver; 13 grandchildren.
