In 1993, after 33 years of service, he retired from the US Postal Service in Midland, where he had been employed in the maintenance dept.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Lawrence Palanza and three infant brothers.
He really enjoyed walking and sitting on the porch chatting with friends. He liked his lottery "scratch tickets", crossword puzzles and playing with his grandchildren. Joe's family was his world.
