Neal A. Schall, 64, of Ford City RD 1, died at 12:45 p.m. (Aug 15, 1961) in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, where he had been admitted one-half hour earlier for a heart condition. Mr. Schall was born April 23, 1897 in Kittanning Township, a son of George A. and Hannah Waltenbaugh Schall. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Rockville, and an employee of Equitable Gas Company for over 23 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Kimpel Schall; four daughters, Miss Virginia A. Schall and Miss Mildred M. Schall, both at home; Mrs. Paul (Freda) Little, Kittanning; Mrs. Edward (Loretta) Crissman, Ford City RD 1; and one granddaughter. Also surviving are three brothers, Murn Schall, California; Louis Schall, Kittanning RD 1; Joseph Schall, Wilkinsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Agnes) Hankey, Ford City RD 2 and Mrs. John (Mabel) Kimpel, Ford City RD 1. Friends may call at Merwin funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Family visitations are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Dr. Robert H. Thurau, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kittanning, will conduct the services. Burial will be made in the family plot in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church cemetery, Rockville.

Funeral services for Neal A. Schall, Ford City R.D 1, were held Friday afternoon in Merwin funeral home. Mr. Schall died Tuesday in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Robert H. Thurau, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, conducted the service. During the service the hymns 'Rock of Ages", "Good Night and Good Morning" and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" were read by Mr. Thurau. Bearers were Gene Burge, Raymond Smith, William Hawk, Everett Schall, William Yount and Perry Miller, all fellow employees at Equitable Gas Company. Burial was made in the family plot in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church cemetery, Rockville.
