Simon W. Schall, 64, died at his home, Kittanning RD 1, at 8:05 a.m. today (April 2, 1959). Mr. Schall was born Jan. 26, 1895 in Kittanning Township, a son of George and Hannah (Waltenbaugh) Schall. He was an employee of Apollo Gas Company, as a Stationary Engineer and had received a 35-year service medal. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mable Rupert Schall, and the following children; Mrs. Isabell Brown, Sloan Schall. Norval Schall, all Kittanning RD 5; Audley Schall, Butler; Kenneth Schall and William Schall, both Rural Valley RD 1; Mrs. Evelyn Adair, Manhattan Beach, Calif.; and Mrs. Garnet Croyle, Kittanning. Eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Also surviving are four brothers, Mern Schall, California; Louis Schall, Kittanning RD 1; Joseph Schall, Wilkinsburg; Neal Schall, Ford City RD 1; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Kimpel and Mrs. Agnes Hankey, both Ford City RD 1.Funeral arrangements, in charge, of Merwin (Smith) funeral home, are not complete.

Simon W. Schall Funeral

Funeral services for Simon W. Schall, who died Thursday in his Kittanning RD 1 home, were held Sunday afternoon in Merwin funeral home. Rev. Charles E. Miller, pastor of Rupp Lutheran Church, conducted the service. Bearers were I. S. Slagle, Robert Huges, George Hooks, Glenn France, John Beatty and Frank Wolfe, all fellow employees of Apollo Gas Company. Burial was made in the family plot in Rupp cemetery.
