MARTHA ALBRIGHT

Martha W. Brown, daughter of Wilson G. and Ellentor Brown, was born May 22nd, 1861, at Graham, Mo.

She was united in marriage to Thomas M. Albright, Sept. 21st, 1881. They lived in Thayer and Jefferson counties in Nebraska until 1893 when they settled on a farm near Spring Ranch, Nebr.

Five children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Albright. Gertrude died at the age of three years. The surviving children are: Mrs. Bertha Kemp, Fairfield; Mrs. Anna Max, Spring Ranch; Mrs. Pearl A. Johnson, Glendale, Calif. Also to mourn her departure she leaves six grand children: Mrs. Muriel Sexon, Grand Island, Nebr. ; Mrs. Delma Eads, Washington, D. C.; Mrs. Velda Wilson, Fairfield, Nebr.; Orval Max, Holdrege, Nebr.; Lawrence Max, Albany, Ore.; Robert Johnson, Glendale, Calif.; and one great grand child: De Anna Max, Albany, Ore.

Mrs. Albright was a member of the Methodist church early in life and used the teachings of the Christian faith as a guide by which she lived until she answered her Saviour's call on the 8th day of April, 1942, at the age of 80 year,10 months and 17 days.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, Apr. 11th, in charge of Guy McLaughlin and Son of Fairfield, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Max. Rev. Ben Cleveland of Hastings officiated. Mrs. Fred Hill and Mrs. Earl Young sang two beautiful songs "Abide With Me" and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Burial was in the Spring Ranch cemetery (sic). Pall bearers were: Clyde Weyenberg, George Paus; Ward Ziggafoos, Robert Jones, Henry Davis, Fred Ockinga.
