Additional child not listed: Edith Florence BURTON married Walter STONECYPHER. Walter was born 1903 in Shelby Co AL to Walter Scott STONECYPHER and Lona CLAYTON. Walter died in 1966 in Shelby Co AL. According to the obituary of Thomas Howard BURTON, brother to Edith Florence, Mrs. Edith Stonecypher lived in Miama. Since no state was listed and the obituary was published in LA, this appears to be Miama LA, but cannot find Miama LA nor Miama AL.

E. C. BURTON, 82, TAKEN BY DEATH-----A former resident of Florence, E. C. Burton, aged 82, died at his home in Calera Sunday night at 7:20 o'clock following an illness of four years.

Mr. Burton made his home in Florence for seven years. A farmer from Bear Creek, Marion county, he moved here in 1912, moving to Calera in 1919. He was a member of the First Baptist church.

Surviving the deceased are his wife, Mrs. Annie M. Burton; five daughter, Miss Ethel Burton, Decatur, Miss., Mrs. D. L. Lambert, Montgomery, Mrs. B.V. Hanson, Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Guy Youngblood, Montevallo, and Mrs. Walter Stonecypher, Sylacauga; three sons, Col. J. Chandler Burton, U.S. army, now stationed in Dayton, O., Thomas H. Burton, Florence, and Steve C. Burton, Birmingham. In addition he leave 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral rites were held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at the First Baptist church, Calera, with Rev. Fuller, of Montevallo, officiating. Burial was in the Sayman cemetery with Brown-Service in charge.
