Rachel Lou Bynum, 87, of Rector, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at Little Rock, Ark.
Born Sept. 24, 1922, in Rives, Mo., she was a retired nurse, a member of the First General Baptist Church in Rector for many years and Sunday school teacher for 20 years.
Survivors include one son, Alan Abbott, of Kennett; three step-daughters, Peggy Ingram, Diane Brewer and Melba Ingram, all of Rector; one brother, Billy Jones, of Kennett; one grandchild, Chad Abbott; seven step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchild-ren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., today, Friday, Oct. 9, at the First General Baptist Church with Bro. Marston Carpenter officiating.
Pallbearers were David Jones, Luke Brewer, Tim Ingram, Russ Brewer, Doug Ingram and Ryan Brewer.
Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
