James Cullinan died Sunday evening at 6 o'clock, at the Denver and Rio Grande hospital, after a lingering illness, which he fought bravely to the last. Mr. Cullinan was a resident of Salida for the last seventeen years. His home formerly was in Atchinson, Kas. Mr. Cullinan was born at Nicholasville, Ky., Aug. 12, 1852. He is survived by his wife and eight children. Mrs. E.N. Flynn of McLouth, Kas.; Mrs. Katherine Carroll and Mrs Loyd Capp of Byers, Colo.; Mrs. R.C. Weber of Long Beach, Cal.; and Mrs. M. G. Beauregard of Salida. His sons, James Cullinan of Salida, Scott Cullinan of Minturn, and John Cullinan of Nevada, were at his bedside before he died. He is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, who will be here to attend the funeral. The funeral services will be held at two o’clock Wednesday at the Catholic church. Interment will be in Fairview.
