Glover D. "Red" Davis, 79, of 1700 S. Main, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.

Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

A native of Dover Ark., he has been a Borger resident for 51 years.

Mr. Davis had been retired from Phillips for 15 years. He formed the DACO Lease and was senior vice president. He was also a rancher.

He was a member of the Lamar Baptist Church, and various youth organizations. He married Catherine Gatton on Aug. 1, 1924.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Devoe of Borger, and Travis of Spearman; one daughter, Mrs. Eloyce Harper of Amarillo; one brother Stanley of Borger; six sisters, Mrs. Vona Bouman, Mrs. Gertrude Henderson, both of Torrance, Calif., Mrs. Inez Nagel of Hemet, Calif., Mrs. Faye Cole of El Cajon, Calif., Mrs. Mae Leach of Lamar, Okla., Mrs. Elise Overlin of Mt. Home Ark.; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Dale Davis.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Association.
