Morrisville Station, New York
Sad Death at the Station
After an illness of two weeks, Walter, the
only child of Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt
Palmiter, died on Tuesday afternoon,
aged 12 years, death being due to typhoid
fever. Walter was a bright boy and well
liked by his schoolmates and his teachers
of the village school, which he had attended
for several years. The funeral will be held
this afternoon and burial will be made in
the Cedar Street cemetery.
The Todd building at the station, where
Mr. Palmiter conducts a grocery, appears to
be a sorely afflicted place, no less than
seven burials having been made from there
within the past two or three years. Clarence,
only son of George F. Todd, a boy of about
the same age of Walter Palmiter and
the latter's playmate, died a few weeks
since.

Mrs. C.L. Faulkner and Mrs. Herbert Stoker
were called to Morrisville last Thursday
to attend the funeral of their nephew,
Walter J. Palmiter, only child of
Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Palmiter, who died
Tuesday after a brief illness of typhoid
fever. They lived for many years in this
town and have many friends who will
sympathize with them in their sorrow. The
union school of which he was a pupil, was
closed and teachers and pupils attended
in a body.
