James Denis Eberhardt was born May 3, 1936, in McHenry, ND, to Art & Marie (Kunze) Eberhardt of Juanita, ND. He was raised and attended schools in Juanita and graduated from Juanita High School. In 1955, Jim moved with his family to Casselton. On January 18, 1964, Jim married Mary Radermacher at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Casselton. He was employed at Ken's Texaco, Schultz's Fairway and retired form Central Cass Schools in 2001. Mary died June 17, 2005. Jim had resided at the Good Samaritan Center for the past three years.

Jim was interested in steam engines, model trains and attended the Western Minnesota Stream Thresher's Reunion at Rollag, MN every year. He loved dancing at the Eagle's Club, reading and family gatherings.

He is survived by his son, Joe (Joan), Casselton; grandchildren, Elise and Allison, Alex, Kayley and Mackenzie; sister, Mavis Hall, Columbia Heights, MN; brothers, Anthony (Gloria), Moorhead, MN, and Michael (Lillian), Casselton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents; son, John and sister, Jeanette.
