Floyd Alfred Bickel, of Glen Burnie, Md. and Naples, Fla., passed at his home.

Military Services and burial were held June 25, 1996 at Glen Burnie, Md.

Floyd, the youngest son of Henry and Katherine (Sheehan) Bickel was born at the family home near Litchfield.

He attended Dist. 47 rural school through 8th grade and graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1940.

Following graduation, he joined the Merchant Marines and served in World War II. After leaving the Merchant Marines he worked for Bethlehem Steel of Baltimore, Maryland until he retired. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Naples.

He was married to Lisa Sinn Dec. 13, 1968. He spent his winters in Naples, Fla.

Floyd was preceded in passing by his parents, brother Fritz, and sister Ruth Davis. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, brother, Bill Bickel, Mt. Ayr, Ia., sisters, Blanche Bickel, Peoria, Ariz., Frances Shuman and Katherine Wiest, Lincoln, Ruby O'Conner, New Market, Ia., Erma Wentz, Atwater, Calif., and Norma Wheeler, Benton, Ia.
