Ralph E. Beallis, Sr. Age 82. At rest Thursday, October 20, 2005 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Joliet, the son of Joseph and Hazel (nee Klavitter) Beallis, he was a lifelong resident.
A WWII United States Army Veteran. Retired from Midwest Operating Engineers Local #150.
Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Virginia (nee Daum) Beallis of Joliet; three children, Linda ("Doodle") Rodgers and Ralph Jr. both of Joliet and David (Sue) Beallis, Sr. of Manhattan; six grandchildren, Ken (Anne) Rodgers, Daniel (Tracy) Beallis both of Elwood, Scott (Sara) Rodgers, David (Heidi) Beallis, Jr., both of Godley, IL, Dawn and Holly Beallis; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis (late Robert) Wilhelmi of Joliet and Jean (Charles) Huntley of Minnesota; one brother, LeRoy (Christina) Beallis of New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews including Dennis (Carol) Beallis.
Preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, George (Winifred) Beallis.
A Memorial Service for Ralph E. Beallis, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Carl Wagner officiating.
Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
