Brother to Carl Frank Arndt

A funeral service for Harley Arndt, 70, resident of the Lingle Area since 1928, who passed away Tuesday in a Cheyenne Nursing Home, was conducted Friday, Sept. 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sutley Funeral Chapel of Torrington with Rev. Robert Ware officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lingle.
Mr. Arndt was born January 14, 1905 in Harvard, Nebraska son of George and Emilia Arndt. He was educated in the Harvard and Lincoln, Neb. schools.
Mr. Arndt moved to the Lingle area of Wyoming in 1928 and was engaged in farming. He was also employed on of number of farms in the area and returned in 1955. For the last 15 years he has resided at the Pioneer Nursing Home in Torrington.
Mr. Arndt was a member of the German Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters Helen Warren of Sterling, Colorado, and Alma Pitman of Olalla, Washington, one brother George Arndt of St. Paul, Minn., three sisters Helena Abraham of Winthrop, Minn., Freida Chermock of Spanaway, Wash., and Marie Busch of Portland, Oregon. 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents one brother and one sister.
Arrangements were by the Sutley Funeral Chapel of Torrington.
