Blanch Dagmar Braunel Sonnevik died Dec 27, 1987. Surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Bethany Village Health Care Center. She was born Aug 16, 1900, in Manitowoc Rapids, WI., to Edwin and Clara Braunel. She was one of nine children.

Together with her late husband, the Rev. Ewald O. Sonnevik. She lived in Scotland, Wales and in Norway for many years. There she participated in her husband's ministries. In 1955 they moved to Bethany. For many years she attended Bethany First Church of The Nazarene and The Berean Sunday School Class.

She is survived by daughter, Edith S. Payne of Bethay; son and daughter-in-law, Milton and Mabel Sonnevik of OKC; grandson, John Olay Johnsen of Atlanta; grandson and wife, David and Kathleen; granddaughter and husband Kristin and John Nobel all of OKC; granddaughter and husband, Margretta and Mark Bromley Christiansburg, VA; grandson and wife Kenneth and Carol Sonnevik of Fremont, CA; 4 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Jonathan, Matthew Bromley, and Lauren Johnsen; sisters, Ruth Gulseth, Edith Jarosh Evangeline Bast all of Manitowoc; WI and numerous nieces and nephew both in the US and in Norway.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who doted on her family. She was an inspiration to all whose lives she touched. She will be sorely missed by her family and her many friends.
