Mrs. Mary Sensenig Warfel Shertzer, 79, of 824 Ocean Ave., died at 2:20 p.m. Saturday in the Lancaster General Hospital following an illness of two weeks. The widow of Amos Newcomer Shertzer, she was born in Conestoga Twp. a daughter of the late Hiram G. and Annie Sensenig Warfel. Mrs. Shertzer resided in Lancaster for the past 15 years and was a member of the Millersville Mennonite Church and attended the Christian Street Mennonite Church and Sunday School in Lancaster. She is survived by two sons: Richard W., Lancaster, and the Rev. Amos W., Biglerville; a daughter, Martha, wife of Lester Gehman, Mount Joy; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Anna, wife of Chester H. Neff, Millersville. (Lancaster New Era - Oct 10, 1966)
