The best dad. An oakie born in Hollis, Tx, college in Ok served in army in ww2 along with all his brothers. His dad Andrew Stephenson Batten served in ww1, he passed away 1960. Lived in California delta much of his adult life. He was married to Bea Darrah Batten in Reno in 1956 they had 8 kids. He divorced Bea in 1969 remarried Joan in early 70,s. He and Joan moved back to Sacto, Ca. in 1974 ad he helped take care of his mom and spent time with kids,grandkids & was very close with siblings. Hobbies..boating, motorcyle riding, tinkering on things with brothers. Bowling, squaredancing, he also called the dances, Played harmonica & was a great yodler! Moved in with daughter s merwin in April 1987 in Brookings, Or. Missed tremendously by all!
