Eleanor Hopkins Spence, age 93, died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at an Oklahoma City care facility. She was born October 26, 1915, in Hamilton, Maryland, to Earl and Emma (Hopkins) Miller and grew up in that area. Eleanor lived many years in Maryland and had also lived in Oregon and Florida before moving to Mustang, Oklahoma, in 1981.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milburn Spence, one brother Earle and one sister Edna.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Miller and wife Carolyn of Centreville, Maryland, Jack Robinson and wife Flo of Baldwin, Mississippi, and Robert Spence and wife Sharon of Mustang, Oklahoma. Also by ten grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2009, in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma, with interment following in Mustang Cemetery, Mustang, Oklahoma, under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service.
