FUNERAL FOR EMILY IGO PLANNED FOR THURSDAY
Rites will be conducted at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Freewill Baptist church at Lillybrook, for Mrs. Emily Jane Igo, 77, who died Tuesday, night following an extended illness in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hobart Shelton, The Rev. Lindsey Basham and the Rev. Robert Doan will officate.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Luther and John Shelton, Roy Whitt, Marshall Smith, Eldridge Hampton, and Bryant Burton.
Born in Wythe county, Va. on May 25, 1870, Mrs. Igo had been a resident of Raleigh county for 19 years.
She is survived by three sons, Claude, of Fries, Va., James, of Ramson, Ky., and Charles, of Williamson; three daughters, Mrs. Shelton and Mrs. Basil Cox, of Ghent, and Mrs. W. B. Bell, of Toms Creek, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Anderson and Mrs. Mollie Frye, of Cripple Creek, Va., and Mrs. Lilly Bratton, of Rhodell; one brother, Frank Jonas, of Cripple Creek; 22 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
