POWDERSVILLE, SC - Florence Ward Ausburn, 80, formerly of 14 Roe Road, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Magnolia's of Easley.
Born in Oconee County, she was the wife of the late Vance H. Ausburn and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Maude O. (ORR) Ward.
She was retired from J.P. Stevens, White Horse Mill No. 1, and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church in Powdersville.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Tony Pannell, of Easley, and Hazel and Bill Penick, of Raleigh, N.C.; four grandchildren, Marti Wilson, and husband, Roger, Todd Pannell, Jamie Phillips and Sean Phillips; and four great-grandchildren, Jason and Dawson Wilson, Taylor Wright and Skyla Phillips.
Mrs. Ausburn was the last member of her immediate family, and was predeceased by brothers, Roy Ward, W.O. "Bill" Ward, Henry Ward, Ed Ward and R.R. "Jack" Ward; and sisters, Marie Ward James, Pobile Ward Edwards, Janie Ward Duncan Burrell and Velma "Jo" Ward McDonald.
Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
Service: 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with interment at Siloam Baptist Church in Powdersville.
Members of Mrs. Ausburn's Sunday school class will serve as honorary escort.
The family is at the home of Thomas James, 510 James Road, Powdersville.
Memorials may be made to "Relay for Life", American Cancer Society, SE Division, Inc., 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615; or to the charity of one's choice.
