Bobbie E. Robinson, Sr., 75, of Cahokia, IL., born March 19, 1934 in East St. Louis, IL.,
died Wednesday August 26, 2009 at Memorial Hospital Belleville, IL.

Mr. Robinson retired in 1995 as the Superintendent of the Village of Cahokia Street Dept. After his retirement he worked for Hurst-Rosche Engineers of East St. Louis, IL. Bobbie was a member of American Legion Post 784 of Cahokia, IL, V.F.W. Post 1699 of Cahokia, IL.; a 32nd degree member of Emeth Lodge 1030 A.F. & A.M., a member of the Cahokia School District Board, serving as vice president and president, a Centreville Township Precinct Committeeman for over 30 years, and the Cahokia Democratic Club.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Robinson, nee Lyons; his parents, Everett and Ethel Robinson; four brothers, Arthur, Howard, Orville, and Emil Anderson; and three sisters, Freida Brown, Louise Mooney, and Betty Antoff.

Surviving are his wife, Elthea "Ellie" Robinson, nee Williams; his children, Neeta (Kenneth) Brown of Charleston, SC, Bobbie E. Robinson, Jr., of Belleville, IL, and Charles E. (Theresa) Robinson of Cahokia, IL; two step children, Amanda (Bob) Luce of Bethalto, IL and Jeremy (Amanda) Williams of Indianapolis, IN; a brother, Jackie (Joann) Robinson of Fairview Heights, IL; 4 sisters Doris Onstott of O'Fallon, IL., Joann (Ralph) Knight of Villa Hills, IL., Melba Pathenos of Belleville, IL. and Patsy Rogers of Cahokia, IL.; grandchildren Marky (Ginger) Livigni, Regina (Aaron Davis) Livigni, Jason Marsh, Christopher Marsh, Joshua Robinson, Taylor Robinson, Justin Robinson, Brooke Robinson, two step grandchildren Andrea Luce and Rachel Luce; seven great grandchildren Devin, Breeze, L.J., Evan, Josh, Samantha, and Alexis. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin & friend.

Visitation was on Sunday August 30, 2009 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home Cahokia, IL. from 2 to 8 P.M. Funeral service 10 A.M. on Monday August 31, 2009 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home Cahokia, IL. with Pastor Phil Schneider officiating. Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery St. Louis, MO. A Masonic service will be at 7 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.
