Second son born to Virgil M. Cagle and Ocie Ola Harrison in Lake Charles, LA. Older brother Jack, and younger brother, Bob. Predeceased by parents, step mother, Virgie ,his wife, Mary Jo Case.

Three daughters, Sharon Cagle Fitzgerald, Mary Lou Cagle Davis, Barbara Cagle miss he very much.

Leaves his wife, Lois Jeanette Graves Cagle and her children and grandchildren who grew to love him as much as we did. He is loved, he is missed, he is remembered every day. A small but devoted Church Family was changed the day he joined Jeanette and them. They mourn the loss but rejoice at his departure and are thankful for having known him.

He was my dad. He was good, he was irritating, he was silly, he was a fount of all sorts of things..some very relavent, some debatable, some just stuff, the kind of out there info that makes its way into the conscious then is gone...funny stuff. He laughed a lot, more importntly he could laugh at himself. I admire that in anyone...in my dad, I revered it. He was my daddy, the thorn in my side my teen years, grower of lots of good garden stuffs in a small spot in a smal yard in the middle of a big city. Tomatos to die for one year, not worth jack the next. Got up early, went to bed after a bath..never went to bed without one. Couldn't understand those who did. Not a prude, but was NOT one to cuss and told you about it when you did. Maintained his vehicles, lawn mowers, faithfully. Loved the waters of the Texas Gulf Coast. Earned a living navigating local and foreign waters and loved to talk about what he saw. He loved to take pictures. He loved to be in pictures. His whistle was incredible and incredibly loud when he = not the alarm clock = roused my sister and out before leaving for work with a glorious, shrill, loud, rendition of " I cant get um up in the mornin" We knew it was coming, we prepared with covered heads, we whined, pleaded for him to stop as it hurt our ears!!! We HATED ever single morning that he did it..I would give almost anything to hear it again. Just once...

I love you and miss you. I hope you are okay with things here so far. We are trying, I am trying...
Mac, Garland, Sadie, Rod and the boys, still remember you almost daily. The boys provide us with wonderful stories I wish we could share..Sadie laments that she doesn't have anyone to talk to on her way to work in the mornings. She always knew you were awake, the only one awake for her to call. But it would have mattered it everyone she knew was available to talk, she would still want to call and talk to you. She really loved those calls. I bet you miss them too.
Things just arent the same, Dad...but what can we do? We will keep on and make you glad you got us as your prodigy...there is good here in us, and most of it came from you...
