Valda Mae Abernathy Neumeyer, 75, White City, died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the Morris County Hospital in Council Grove.

She was born near Parkerville on December 28, 1931 the daughter of Arthur Dewuain and Pearl Mae (McDiffett) Sams.

Mrs. Neumeyer was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Her family was her life.
She was a member of the Parkerville Baptist Church.

She was married to Tommy Abernathy on December 25, 1949. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1986. On October 10, 1996 she was united in marriage to Herbert Neumeyer in Parkerville. He survives:

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at the Parkerville Baptist Church in Parkerville, KS.

Interment will follow in the White City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 PM Sunday at the Parkerville Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkerville Baptist Church or to the AWANA Club at the Church and may be sent in care of the Penwell-Gabel Council Grove Chapel.
