Mrs. Bertha M. BARR, 88, Akron, died at 4:45 a.m. today in the Capitol Manor Nursing home at Frankfort, Ky. She had been a patient two years. Born Dec. 30, 1880, in Fulton county most of her life, Mrs. Barr was a member of the Akron United Methodist church and a member of the WSCS of the church. She had served as house mother to the Kappa Delta Phi sorority at Akron. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. I. A. (Marjorie) NOOE, Frankfort, Ky.; one son, John BARR, North Brook, Ill.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Effie SCOTT, Akron; one brother, Ivan MATTIX, of Fort Wayne. One brother preceded in death. Final rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Sheetz funeral home in Akron. The Revs. Claude FAWNS and D. BENGSTON will officiate.
