"Stella Abbl 1925-2001 Stella Abbl, 75, of Willcox, died Jan. 25, 2001 in Willcox. Stella was born on May 25, 1925 in Garfield, N.M. to Francisco Rayos and Feliciana Alvidrez. She was a resident of Willcox from 1959 until 1988, during which time she worked for Joe Sheehan. Then from 1988 until November of 1999, she lived in Alaska with her husband Dennis whom she married on Oct.12, 1947 in Salem, N.M. Stella is survived by her Husband, Dennis Abbl of Wasilla, Alaska; sons, Michael (Van) Abbl of Mesa, Terry (Maria) Abbl of Somerton, Ronald Abbl of Safford, and Tom (Bobbi) Abbl of Willcox; and daughters, Mary Ann Tapia and Wanda Mitchem. Also surviving are her brother Frank Rayos of Willcox, and Nancy Armenta of Benson, along with 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter Virginia; a son John Edward; and four brothers and sisters. Rosary was said on Sunday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. at Westlawn Chapel with Scripture Service Monday, Jan. 29, at 10 a.m. at Westlawn Chapel with Rev. John Emanuel as celebrant. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery in Willcox. Friends who wish may contribute to the American Diabetes Foundation, 9034 N. 23rd Ave., Suite 8, Phoenix, AZ, 85021. Services are under the direction of Westlawn Chapel & Mortuary in Willcox."
