Patricia M. Morgan Carpenter, 83, of Decatur, IN passed
away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Adams Memorial
Hospital. She was born in Adams County on April 30, 1927 to
the late Ivan B. and Marie V. (Dager) Barkley. On November
27, 1947 Pat married Paul E. Morgan he passed away on May
8, 2005. In May of 2008 she married Wayne R. Carpenter and
he survives.
She is also survived by two sons Steve (Donna) Morgan of
Winterhaven, Fl. and Tom Morgan of Chicago, Il., former
daughter in law Kitty, one sister Ronell (Jean) Wight of
Washington State, 11 grandchildren, and 23 great
grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and
one daughter Vickie Kline, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Pat was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic
Church, and a former member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority.
She was the owner operator of Townhouse Antiques and was
a homemaker.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday
November 4th at 10:30am.at St. Mary of the Assumption
Catholic Church. Visitation will be private. Burial will be held
at Decatur Cemetery with Fr. David Voors officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic
School.
