Ellen Langdon Threlkeld "Granny" Hurst, 89, of Stuttgart, formerly of Rison, died Friday at her home.
She was born July 9, 1915, at Hattiesburg, Miss., a daughter of the late William Langdon and Jessie Ellen Miles Christian.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, John Threlkeld Jr., Paul Knox Threlkeld and William Robert Threlkeld; two brothers; three sisters; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Mark Threlkeld of Monticello; a daughter, Carrie P. Hutcheson of Stuttgart; three sisters, Durrett "Jackie" McGriff, Jean Saunders and Jean Graves; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
