She died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001.
She was born Sept. 27, 1914, in Graham. She married Wayne "Tramp" Brown on Sept. 20, 1942, in Lubbock. She lived in Lubbock for 47 years, teaching piano for 40 years. She served as organist for First Methodist Church in Littlefield for five years. She was a longtime member of Lubbock Music Teachers Association and was awarded the teacher of the year award in 1987. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lubbock.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Teena Brown of Ava, Mo., Betty Jane Johnson of Odessa and Billi Barrera of Corsicana; and five grandchildren.
