COLLINS - Services are 1 p.m. today at Billy King Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for John Lamar Pitts, 72, of Collins, who died Oct. 18, 2009, at Forrest General Hospital.
Graveside service with military rites is 3 p.m. today at Richland Cemetery.
Mr. Pitts was a retired truck driver and a Baptist. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Joyce Hood Pitts of Collins; two sons, John Pitts Jr. and Jimmy Pitts, both of Indiana; two daughters, Johnana Horn and Cindy Guarino, both of Indiana; four stepsons, Steve Randall of Mendenhall, Gary Randall of Brandon, Terry Stewart of Collins and Mike Stewart of Townsend, Tenn.; two brothers, Gene Pitts and Ricky Pitts, both of Milton, Fla,; two sisters, Nita Manning of Milton and Kathy Nelson of Lakeland, Fla.; and 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.J. and Lennie Parker Pitts.
