Marjorie Lucille Humrichouser

Marjorie Lucille Humrichouser, 77, formerly of Terrace Drive, died Tuesday at Samaritan Hospital following a short illness.

She was born March 30, 1922, in Ashland, the daughter of Walter and Mildred Bricker Estill

She had been a resident of Ashland County all of her life, graduating from Ashland High School in 1940.

Mrs. Humrichouser was employed as a secretary for the Ashland City Schools until her retirement in 1980.

She was a member of the Rowsburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Lydia Circle, the Garfield Chapter 324 Order of Eastern Star for 50 years, and a volunteer at Samaritan Hospital as a grey lady.

She was married Feb. 12, 1942, to John Humrichouser, who preceded her in death in May 1979.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Denny and Melody Humrichouser of Ashland, Mark and Karen Humrichouser of Westerville, and John and Bev Humrichouser of Twinsburg; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Clayton (Shirley) Hawks of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Rowsburg Evangelical Lutheran Church with pastor Julie Thoms officiating.

Burial will be at Rowsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Heyl Funeral Home. There will be an Eastern Star Service Thursday at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Rowsburg Evangelical Lutheran Church.
