Lillian Julia Ringwelski was born on November 19, 1902 in Sehlen (Zalno), Tuchola, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Poland to Mary Pawlowski. Her biological father is unknown. She married Stanley John Burg on May 1, 1926. They had one child (Mary Ann). She died on November 1, 1994, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at the age of 91, and was buried in Clintonville, Wisconsin.

Lillian Julia Ringwelski immigrated from Schlen, Poland with her mother Mary and step father John Ringwelski in 1906 on the SS Batavia. Stanley married Lillian on May 1, 1926. Stan worked at Luick Milk and Ice Cream Company. During this time Lillian owned a candy store. She was quite a woman for that era smoking Parliaments and owning a handgun. Stan and Lillian moved in upstairs at the Ringwelski home at 3030 N. Buffum. In 1931 they moved to 8th and Chambers across the street from the old Brewers Ball park. I remember my grandma telling me you could watch and smell the popcorn when games were played. The baseballs would at times come through the windows so when my mother Mary Ann was born November 19, 1935, they decided to move back into the Ringwelski family home on N. Buffum Street while building a new home.

In 1941 they moved into their new house in Whitefish Bay, a suburb in Milwaukee and remained there until 1945 when Stan bought a dairy in Clintonville. The dairy manufactured milk and ice cream products and had a ice cream parlor in the front of the building. Stan decided to make the move because the dairy came up for sale and he wanted to live in a smaller community.

In the early 1960's Stan bought an additional business, a Buick dealership. As a child I have fond memories of visiting the dairy and the dealership. When they first moved to Clintonville they bought a home on Clinton Avenue but in 1949 they built a larger home on 18th Street.

In later years "Pops and Nana" as we called them, moved into a smaller home on First Street in Clintonville. They were always there for us with anything we needed.
