Ward, 67, Southwood Trailer Court, Greenwood, died Sunday evening in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Ward was born July 11, 1909, in Mexico, Ind., and was the son of James and Ethel (Belk) Ward. He was a resident of Greenwood for 25 years and was employed at Western Hardware in Greenwood for 17 years in small motor repair. Survivors include his widow, Helen Duncan Ward; daughters Myrna and Lorraine; stepson, Dean, Elmer and Lennis Freese; brother, Arleigh Ward, Mason City, Iowa; sister, Sada Melton, Greenwood, Florence Rickets, Richmond, and Mary Sarns, Chicago, Ill., and 10 grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 2:30p.m. in the J. C. Wilson Greenwood Chapel with burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Rev. James Horner will conduct the services. Friends may call Tuesday after 2 p.m.
