Mrs. Walter (Ella) Jones, 82, of Maud, died Wednesday in a Seminole hospital. Services were held at 2pm today (Tuesday) in Maud First Baptist Church.
The Ravern Huneycutt, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Cummings Cemetery at Maud under the direction of Knight Funeral Home of Maud.
A lifetime resident of Pottawatomie county, Mrs. Jones moved to Maud from Jonesboro in 1925. She and her husband operated a grocery store in Maud until retirement in 1946. A member of Maud Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Mrs. Jones belonged to Maud First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Walter Jones of the home; one daughter, Bessie Washburn of Apache; one son, Paul Jones of Tecumseh; one daughter-in-law, Roberta Jones of Maud; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
