Funeral services for Melvin W. Buckley, member of the Simpson county board of supervisors for the past eight years, will be held at 10 o'clock Sunday morning from Pleasant Hill Baptist church. The Rev. B. E. Phillips of New Hebron will officiate.
Mr. Buckley died suddenly at a local hospital at 8 o'clock Friday morning. He was 58 years of age.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Fannie Little Buckley; two daugh ters, Miss Mavis Buckley of Birmingham, Ala., Miss Dorothy Buckley of New Hebron; one son, William Buckley of New Hebron; one brother, John Buckley of New Hebron; six sisters. Mrs. N. J. Holmes and Mrs. Barry Slater of New Hebron, Mrs. Hope Little of Pinola, Mrs. Leo Gordner of D'Lo, and Mrs. D. D. Cline of Natchez.
