Joyce Elizabeth "Beth" Eaves, 55, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009.
Praise services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Mantooth officiating. Arrangements are by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home.

Mrs. Eaves was born July 11, 1954 in Amarillo to Walter and Juannella Crisp. She was raised in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1972. Beth married Fred Eaves on Feb. 11, 1977, at Temple Baptist Church. Her most recent hobby had been quilting. Beth and Fred had been longtime members of Temple Baptist Church. The church and church activities were her biggest passion. There at the church, Beth helped establish a group program called "Hand & Hand." This group consisted of many widowed women whose relationships with each other helped them tremendously and kept them in good spirits. Beth, by far, had a heart for service and helping others. Her pride and joy was her family and the latest priority was her grandson, Tucker. Beth was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter J. Crisp.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Eaves; two sons, Jeremy Eaves of McKinney and Dallas Eaves and wife Abbie of Amarillo; a brother, Blake Crisp and wife Dana of Silver Springs, Md.; a sister, Melissa Parks and husband Bill of Amarillo; a niece, Sabre Ramsey and husband Josh of Borger; two nephews, Ryan Crisp of Maryland and Nathan Parks of Amarillo; a grandson, Tucker Eaves of Amarillo and a great-nephew, Colt Ramsey of Borger.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Temple Baptist Church or to Citychurch.
