Mrs. Ward, 83, died of heart failure Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
She is survived by 10 sons, Willie G. Ward, Wesley Ward, Curley Ward, Tanner Ward Jr., David Ward, Walter Ward, James Russell Ward, Charles Ward and Abraham Ward, all of Vaiden, and Sylvester Ward of Benson, N.C.; two daughters, Mary Weeks and Lubertha Ward-Green, both of Vaiden; two sisters, Sally Lou Hudson of Vaiden and Annie Johnson of Greenville; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Roberts & Sons Mortuary.
The Rev. Jesse Sawyer will officiate at the services.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
