He was born Feb. 11, 1950 in Norton, KS.
He had worked as a printer and, when his daughters were growing up, he worked for The City of Salina Flood Control Dept. He was the Sno wizard of SNO-Wizard Shaved Ice Co. with his wife of 35 years, Mary.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents and a sister, Connie Reeve. Survivng him are his spouse, Mary Hoover Ecton, of the home, his parents, Howard and Dorothy Brown Ecton, Salina, his daughters, Julie Ecton and Layla Peppers and spouse, Lyn, Salina, his brother, Steve Ecton, McAllen, Tx, and 3 grandchildren, Lexy, Logan & Alyssa Peppers.
Funeral services will be on Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Ryan Mortuary where friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Burial will be private in the Prairie Mound Cemetery, Solomon. Memorials are suggested to K.U. Medical Center.
