NEW BETHLEHEM - Arthur R. Magness, 68, of New Bethlehem RD3, died Monday, December 1, 1986, in his home.

Born September 1, 1918, in Sligo, he was a son of Charles and Jessie (Servey) Magness.

On December 20, 1939, he married the former Guyla McCall. She survives.

Mr. Magness was a member of the Licking Presbyterian Church. He had been a truck driver, and for the past 12 years was a supervisor for Monroe Township.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Guy E. Magness of New Bethlehem RD 3, Jerry Magness of Knox,, and Ronald C. Magness of Clarion RD1; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Pearl Helgerman of Annapolis, Md., Mrs. Hugh (Roberta) Kuhns of Clarion, and Mrs. Ardele (Phyllis) Delp of New Bethlehem RD3. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-granddaughter.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today) in the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home at Clarion with the Rev. Stephen V. Doughty, pastor of Licking Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment was in Cedarview Memorial Park.
