Guyla E. Magness, 54, of New Bethlehem RD 3, died Monday, February 23, 1987, at her residence.

Born March 5, 1922, in Toby Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of Guy McCall and Hazel (Bashline) McCall.

She was married on December 20, 1939, to Arthur R. Magness. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1986.

She was employed for more than 30 years in the Glass Containers Corporation in Parker, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Licking Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of the Glass Bottle Blowers Association.

Mrs. Magness is survived by three sons, Guy E. Magness of New Bethlehem RD 3, Jerry Magness of Knox, and Ronald Magness of Clarion; three sisters, Mrs. Fenton (Kathryn) Wyncoop of Clarion, Mrs. Virginia Curll of Sligo and Mrs. Arnold (Helen) Schrecengost of Shippenville; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, Wood Street, Clarion. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Stephen V. Doughty officiating. Committal services will be held at the Cedarview Memorial Park Chapel.

Interment will follow at Cedarview Memorial Park.
