Wife of the late Leslie William Anthony Annis (1914-2001) and mother to stage and film star, Francesca Annis, Tony Annis of Kensington and Quenton Annis of Margarita Isle, Venezuela.

Marquita and Anthony Annis, who were married for 66 years, met on the set of the Laurence Olivier film "Fire over England" when she was still a convent schoolgirl. The couple married secretly, moved to Rio de Janeiro and opened a nightclub by Copacabana beach. They returned to London and settled in Kensington.
