A memorial service for Betty O. Crow, 91, of Tyler, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Paul Powell officiating. A private burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Crow passed away Oct. 20, 2009 , in Tyler.
She was born Dec. 13, 1917, in the community of Copeland, Smith County, to Oscar and Tennie Brown Spier. Mrs. Crow was a lifelong resident of Smith County.
She married Coy F. Crow in 1935. Together, they owned and operated Coy Crow Paint and Body Shop and Wrecker Service in Tyler. Following retirement in 1975 from their business, Mrs. Crow enjoyed an active second career as a licensed Realtor for 32 years, retiring for the second time in 2007 at the age of 89. She was a charter member of Green Acres Baptist Church.
Mrs. Crow was preceded in death by her son, Charles Crow in 1993, and by her husband of 62 years, Coy F. Crow in 1997.
Mrs. Crow is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Nan Emmerson and husband Bill; and by granddaughters, Kate Emmerson and Caroline Emmerson, all of Redland, Calif.
Honorary pallbearers will be O.E. Ables, Joe Elliott Jr., Court Hazelton, Leonard Leifer, Randy Roberts and Lonny Uzzell.
