David was born in Bald Eagle, Jefferson County, PA. He grew up in Sabula. After his marriage to Zora in 1900, they lived in Caledonia and Weedville. He was co-owner of a coal mine in the 1930s and later was a supervisor/bookkeeper for Jay Township until 1956. Dave enjoyed gardening.
