Chip formerly attended Blaney High School and was a longtime member of Spears Creek Baptist Church. He had retired from the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. with 30 years of service. Mr. Ellisor, an avid outdoorsman, was known for his "Famous Catfish Stew." He enjoyed penny poker and strumming his banjo.
Survivors include his sister, Lillian Ellison, Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Theresa Ellisor, Sandra Ellisor, Vicki Ellisor, Linda Ellisor; daughter-in-law, Gloria Ellisor, Lexington, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Marie Ellisor; son, Harold Ellisor; brothers, Bill Ellisor, Ed Ellisor, and Murdock Ellisor.
