Emigrated to Lee Co., Ill.;
lived there nearly three years; thence to this county;
came through with teams; camped out at night; had his team stolen;
tracked them in the morning by their trail,
and succeeded in finding them about 11 o'clock, in the middle of a large prairie,
in an old hovel, where there were several horses;
Mr. B. thought it was the headquarters of a regular gang of horse thieves.
The first store they put up had not enough pipe to go through the roof,
and had to run the pipe out of the window.
One time Mr. B. was away, and the prairie caught fire and burnt over
, and when he returned did not know his own home.
