Laura's sister Mary Jane Johnson married James Madison Knox on the same date. The children of Walter and Laura are Omie Mae Kyle Harrelson, Everett Kyle, Annie Bell Kyle, Barnie Stanley Kyle, Vernon Elvin Kyle, Whit W. Kyle, Molly Irene Kyle Kirkpatrick and Mamie Lucille Kyle Young.
